New Car

Ever since J1 used the knife on Chinese New Year we seem to be having things break or just stop working. We might have to consult an oracle on how to rectify the bad feng shui that may have invaded the house.

We have bought a new car, its a C4 Citroen, Diesel, aluminum in colour, hatch back with skylight - it arrives end of February, we bought it on an NRMA auction site on the web, so the car is coming from Wollongong.

This weekend we had J3's first swimming lesson - I have not seen her with such a large smile, ever. She enjoyed herself so much, when the kids turn 4 they do not have an adult, other than the instructor with them in the water, it was good to see her so competent, the other kids in her class (same age) had been swimming since 'birth' seemed not anymore advanced.
Today we indulged in some more water activities - we went to FIT (females in training) morning at the lake - they were trying out the exciting sport of canoe polo. J1 had to go and help the ladies with the boats. I even had a go - a bit wobbly (don't tell anyone but I loved it). J1 also took the kids to the botanical gardens for a walk in the rainforest.

Interesting idea this week from chubbyhubby - was to make strong expresso coffee, put into ice cube trays (we used cross ones from ikea) and freeze. When you want an ice coffee, mix the coffee ice cubes with milk, and sugar (if wanted). I also made some chocolate biscuits based from Orangette - these were a chocolate meringue type of pecan crisp (recipe on website).
