
My turn for morning tea this week, I made chocolate chip cookies on the weekend, I have frozen some mixture and will cook later this week, Easy. Happy Birthday for the 12th Emma, look forward to seeing you later this year.
CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES
125g butter, softened
1 1/4 cups brown sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla essence
1 egg
1 1/2 cups plain wholemeal flour
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
2 cups chocolate bits
Preheat oven to 180C Cream butter and sugar, add vanilla and egg, stir in sifted flour, baking powder until combined, fold through chocolate chips. Cook for 15mins. Makes 16 large cookies. To freeze, make double quantities, roll excess into log put in plastic wrap and then cover with foil, thaw and slice before baking.
