J4's Party was not rained out as forecast by various members of my work colleagues. It was a little windy but the kids were not deterred. We arranged painted cardboard boxes (with personalised number plates) and got each child to decorate them. An obstacle course was set up in the backyard with things such as a petrol pump and cash register, a tunnel made out of netting and a rope to climb up the hill, stepping stones and rings to jump through. The kids really got involved, getting the parents to do most of the decorating for them. A our neighbour, a budding magician did a few tricks which dazzled everyone. K and G drove from Sydney and S and D came up as well just for the party. Mum made her always excellent samosa - so thank you all for coming and all those for your help. Happy Birthday to B for Sunday as well, wish you could have made it. All in all a great day and most importantly J4 loved it.
