J3 had her 'jewel' party on the weekend, a bit windy up 'ere in 'em hills so we did most of the activities inside. We made some jewelry boxes, beaded bracelet or necklaces, decorated nails and had an Easter egg hunt. Party fare was lots of fruit, strawberries dipped in chocolate, heart shaped sandwiches, homemade sausage rolls, fairy bread and as requested a love heart jewel cake. G and L came all the way from Sydney which helped make the kids day.
J4 and I made a volcano today - we made a landscape in the sandpit with some pretend vegetation and dinosaurs. We built up some sand around the outside of a bottle and filled the bottle with a couple of tablespoons of baking soda, poured in some vinegar and you can imagine what happened to the surrounding villages......
