Mother's Day Again

Mother's Day Weekend - What a extraordinary weekend, we went to the local farmers market on Saturday and the chestnut man gave us free chestnut's to try - with a heavy conscience I roasted them with some root vegetables and stirred through pasta. We went to Breakfast Sunday morning after hugs and mother's day gifts to Gus's Cafe Civic where we got free mother's day cupcakes. So unexpected and quite moving to see such generosity in our local town.

Canberra looks amazing at the moment with autumn colours and crisp mornings.

We we visited our favourite 'castle' park at the lake today.



I made an easy meal - chicken cooked in milk - brown some chicken with butter and garlic on stove top, add 1 cup of milk , herbs (rosemary or sage) and add some lemon rind. Cook in oven for 1 1/2 hours 190C.
